Rancho Cordova, CA (MPG) – There’s a first time for everything, and Rancho Cordova neighbors and volunteers celebrated the first ever Holiday Light Parade on December 3rd with many exciting floats, holiday music  and light show.

Special guests were Santa Claus, who really made the rounds and met as many of the kids as possible (surely to check them on his “Nice” list) and The Grinch, who always seems to make Christmas events just a little more interesting.

The parade featured many amazing floats by the parade sponsors, dancers, and included a bit of edgy technology.

The parade was produced by Jerry Jewell, who, along with the help of volunteers, started a new tradition for the City of Rancho Cordova. You have to put this one on the calendar for next year!

You can see many more parade photos on the back page of this newspaper, taken by our photographers Rick Sloan and Jose Lopez.
