RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - The Rancho Cordova Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2018 Business Outlook Economic Forecast at the Marriott Hotel on Wednesday, January 31, providing those in attendance with an abundance of economic information.

RCCC Board Chair Denise Brandt and Mayor Linda Budge kicked things off by welcoming everyone before turning things over to Master of Ceremonies and Event Chairman Joshua Wood.

Event Chairman Wood discussed some regional business before handing the stage over to the morning’s first guest speaker, Chief Economist for Bank of the West, Scott Anderson, Ph.D. Anderson gave a comprehensive and national perspective outlook on today’s economy, breaking down the current dip in the stock market, what to make of it and how it is going to affect the decade long rise in job growth and what that means to business of all sizes.

The next guest speaker was Dean Wehrli, PhD., Senior Vice President of John Burns Real Estate Consulting. Wehrli dug deep into the demographic examination of past and present households and what we can expect to see in the future of housing markets. His eccentric presentation and captivating slideshow highlighted the morning.

The program concluded with what the future of Rancho Cordova will hold, led by City Manager Cyrus Abhar and followed by local business owners who have proven that starting your own business, and then thriving, in Rancho Cordova is very possible.
