Multiple Construction Projects in Rancho Cordova
Aug 27, 2024 03:57PM ● By City of Rancho Cordova News ReleaseRANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Fall is a busy time for the City of Rancho Cordova's Public Works team as they work to finish as many projects as possible before the cold winter months. Here are the latest updates.
Chase Drive and American River Parkway Connection
A new multiuse path is currently under construction on Chase Drive. The path will begin at Coloma Road and end at the American River Parkway, creating an additional connection near neighborhoods, schools and the parkway. In addition to the pathway, there will also be new lighting, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant curb ramps, high-visibility crosswalks, trees, landscaping and more. The project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2025.
Countryside Neighborhood Street Rehabilitation
Phase one of this project will include the rehabilitation of roadways in the Countryside Neighborhood, east of Routier Road at Highway 50. In addition to resurfaced roadways, this project will include upgraded drainage infrastructure, ADA-compliant curb ramps and high-visibility markings on the roadway. The project is funded by the city's Community Enhancement & Investment Fund, Senate Bill 1 and the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017. The project was anticipated to begin this month and be completed in summer 2025.
Sunrise Boulevard Rehabilitation Project
Phase two of this project will rehabilitate Sunrise Boulevard from White Rock Road to Douglas Road. In addition to resurfaced roadways, this project will include improved medians, curbs and landscaping, and the installation of ADA-compliant curb ramps. This project will also improve flood protection on Sunrise Boulevard by installing new drainage upgrades on Mechanical Drive and Recycle Road. The project is anticipated to begin in September and be completed in summer 2025.
