Aspiring writer Jo struggles to get her stories published, repeatedly facing rejection from publishers. Her friend, Professor Bhaer, urges her to dig deeper and write from the heart. Reluctantly, Jo takes his advice—crafting a deeply personal tale based on her own experiences and the lives of her sisters.
