RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – The Cordova Recreation & Park District (District) was recently recognized at the California Special Districts Association Annual Conference in Palm Desert for its commitment to responsible governance and operational excellence.

The District was presented with the District of Distinction Platinum Accreditation by the Special District Leadership Foundation. This accreditation recognizes the District at the highest level for its commitment to responsible governance and operational excellence and reinforces its dedication to leading the region through excellence and transparency in serving the needs of our diverse and growing community. The District is one of only 15 districts that have earned this level and the only recreation & park district to receive it.

In addition, District General Manager Patrick Larkin received the Certified Special District Manager (CSDM) designation. The CSDM recognizes the knowledge, skills and capabilities of special district managers who strive to demonstrate the highest level of professional excellence. The District congratulates Patrick on this achievement and for demonstrating how the District is continuing to lead the region in excellence and his commitment to strong leadership, effective governance and continued professional growth.

The California Special Districts Association (CSDA) is a 501c(6), not-for-profit association that was formed in 1969 to promote good governance and improved core local services through professional development, advocacy and other services for all types of independent special districts.
