RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Join the Cordova Recreation & Park District’s (District) this September at one of its upcoming events! Hosted in District parks and facilities, these events invite the community to enjoy some quality fun outside with family and friends!

Meet the Machines

Join the District for a day full of exploration and fun! The annual Meet the Machines at Hagan Community Park returns on Sept. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon, bringing a day full of entertainment and activities for the whole family.

At this free event, kids of all ages have the opportunity to touch, climb on and explore exciting machines and unique vehicles. From firetrucks to hot air balloons, garbage trucks and more, there will be horns to honk, wheels to turn and machines to climb. Families will also have the opportunity to learn from the professionals who use these machines every day. The event will also feature child-friendly activities, music and more!

Barktoberfest

Get ready for a tail-wagging good time! Join the District at the annual Barktoberfest on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lincoln Village Community Park/Pool.

This family-friendly event is open for all ages! Join us for a fun-filled day of doggie swimming, food, a beer garden, music and more! This exciting event will feature dog-related vendors, offering items like pet accessories, photo opportunities and information from local organizations. 

Dogs can make a splash in the pool, show off their style in contests like the pet costume contest and socialize with fellow pups. Meanwhile, their humans can enjoy tasty food and beverages, browse local vendors and cheer on all the poolside fun.

Rabies vaccines are required for all dogs entering the pool area. Pre-registration is recommended and can be completed at cordovarpd.gov.

Join us before Barktoberfest for the Cordova Recreation & Parks Foundation (CPRF) doggie parade & walkathon! From 9 to 11 a.m., enjoy a morning of lawn games, tail wags and community at the First Doggie Costume Parade and Walkathon, a celebration of our beloved doggos and benefiting CRPF’s scholarship fund.
