Turkeys Needed

The Cordova Community Food Locker is looking to the community for help to make Thanksgiving and Christmas meaningful to the poorest of our brothers and sisters.

With the addition of hundreds of clients over the past year, the Food Locker is in need of at least 1,200 turkeys for Thanksgiving. Last year, the Cordova community stepped up and did the impossible. Community members challenged each other to prove to be a caring community. And it worked.

The Cordova Community Food Locker asks: Can we do it again?

On Monday, Nov. 23rd, the Locker will distribute what they have gathered to those in need.

Turkeys can be dropped off at the Food Locker or the St. John Vianney Catholic Church Office, 10497 Coloma Rd, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670.

Weekdays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 14th: Noon to 5 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 15th: Noon to 5 p.m.

Saturday, Nov. 21st: Noon to 5 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 22nd: Noon to 5 p.m.

On behalf of those who must rely on the community’s generosity to survive, those at the Cordova Food Locker say “Thank you and bless you for all that you are and whatever you can do to make this a memorable holiday. You’re awesome!”
