The last two Sierra Valley Conference matches for the Cordova High School volleyball team have been tough ones. On Tuesday, the Lady Lancers lost to defending SVC champion El Dorado 3-0; final scores were 25-8, 25-16, 26-24 at the Cougars' den in Placerville. On Sept. 29th, Cordova (3-2 in the SVC, 6-5 overall) fell to Union Mine 3-1; final scores of that match were 25-18, 18-25, 25-18, 25-9. Last night, Thursday, Cordova hosted Liberty Ranch. Next Tuesday, the Lancers open the second half of SVC action at Rosemont.
