Honoring Neil Orchard Senior Center’s Volunteers

More than 50 men and women will be honored at the 2017 Volunteer Appreciation Celebration on February 8, 2017 for their commitment to the Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center and the community. Every year, the Cordova Recreation and Park District hosts this important event to recognize the invaluable contributions of these volunteers.

“It truly takes a village to help keep the Neil Orchard Senior Activities Center running smoothly year-round,” said Heather Schelske, CRPD Recreation Supervisor. “We cannot thank these inspiring individuals enough for their time and unwavering dedication to making the center a better place.”

The center serves about 1600 to 1800 seniors a month and has 600 registered members. Those being recognized include members of the Cordova Senior Advisory Board and volunteers for Meals on Wheels, the Garden Club, the kitchen, the front office, drivers and recreation programs and events. Honorees will receive certificates from the Office of Assemblyman Ken Cooley.

The event is sponsored by Atria Senior Living. For more information call (916) 366-3133
