Last fall, the Cordova High School football team did its part on the field by winning a share of the Sierra Valley Conference and earning a Sac-Joaquin Section Division III playoff berth.

Now the Lancers are doing their part off the field.

Tomorrow, Saturday, the football players are volunteering with the Republic Services and the City of Rancho Cordova to clean up neighborhoods. The clean-up drive is scheduled to start at Cordova Villa Elementary School. They are expected to help out in the clean-up from 9 a.m. until noon.
