Today, Friday, the Cordova High School baseball team continues Sierra Valley Conference action at Union Mine.

Then next week, the Lancers will continue action in their own tournament.

After taking last year off, the Cordova Baseball Easter Tournament returns starting on Monday. All games will be played on the Lancers’ diamond.

In three days, the Lancers will play four games. Two of those games take place on Monday. Cordova (4-3 in the Sierra Valley Conference, 5-7) will host Mesa Verde at 9 a.m. That game will be followed by a noon game against Enterprise of Redding.

On Tuesday, the Lancers will conclude pool play action of the tournament against Redwood Christian of San Lorenzo that is scheduled for a 9 a.m. start time. How Cordova does in pool play will determine its opponent and time on Wednesday.

Two years ago, when the tournament was held, Cordova went 2-2 that included wins over Mesa Verde and Center.

This year’s Cordova baseball team returns to SVC action on Wednesday, April 19th when it hosts El Dorado.
