Competing at El Dorado in a Sierra Valley Conference meet on April 5th, Morgera, a senior, won the 100 and 200 meter races with times of 11.10 and 23.11 seconds respectively. As a member of the Lancers’ 4x400 meter relay team with teammates Philip Cadena, Bryan Estrada and Andrew Roberts, Morgera and the trio took first place at 3 minutes, 36 seconds.

Roberts was a double winner for Cordova. Competing in the long jump, Roberts was first with a leap of 19 feet, 3 inches. He also won the triple jump at 38-01. Another winner for the Lancers was Sultan Folorunsho-Rasaq in the 110 hurdles, racing to a flat 17 seconds time.

But the host Cougars won the rest of the events, which led to a 78-58 win over Cordova. In SVC meets this season, the Lancers are 1-2.

On the varsity girls’ side, Cordova also went to 1-2 in SVC meets, as El Dorado ran to a 109-27 win.

Winners for the Lady Lancers was the 4x400 relay team of Carla Donis, Trinity Foster, Gabriella Maduri and Blessings Norwood, won with a time of 4:29.78.

In the field events, Faauiga Toele won the shot put with a throw of 33 feet, 5 inches, and the discus at 89-08.

In the frosh-soph boys’ meet, El Dorado narrowly defeated Cordova 65-64. Kijon Allen was another double winner for the Lancers in the 100 and 200 meter races. He was also part of the 4x100 team with Jaylen Jones, Mason Trujillo and Johnele Sanders, taking first place.

In long distant races, Trujillo was also a double winner for the Lancers in the 800 and 1600 meters. Jaizyn Kimo Kea Phelps-Reis joined the list of double winners, taking the shot put and the discus.
