RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – How sweet it was. A big win by a big score, a homecoming night, and returning alumni celebrating the history at Cordova High.

The football team seems to really be catching fire in league play and there was fire in the hearts of returning Lancers. The team won convincingly, 48-6 over visiting Union Mine. A game like that reminded the crowd of the days when it seemed to happen every week.

Returning graduates from Cordova High marched along with the newly chosen homecoming court, representing their years of graduation with pride. Some of the years that were best represented were 1965, 1967 and 1974.

There is tremendous pride that comes with graduating from Cordova High. That pride is reflected in all that the alumni continue to do for the community and why they return every year.

The Rancho Cordova Hall of Fame event, held Saturday, October 14th at City Hall, honored many of the accomplishments of famous former Lancers and their sports careers. The inductees and their history can be found on page 3 of this week's newspaper You can find it on the homepage.
