RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – Getting people’s blood circulating and providing plenty of exercise in a cold, winter morning, the annual PAL Holiday Run was held on Saturday, December 14. The yearly run is held to raise money for programs that support over 3,500 local children and receive toy donations for families in need through the Rancho Cordova police department.

The Rancho Cordova Police Department wants to ensure it has done its part to have healthy relationships between citizens and law enforcement. Human relations in society are to a great extent what we have made them, and we can do much to make things better. It’s not the easiest thing to rethink deep-seated childhood experiences and hostile human instincts, but it’s good to know there are many who are trying to reach out beyond that.

Rancho Cordova PAL (Police Activities League) is a nonprofit organization which seeks to apply modern social insight into the heart of the City’s future–our children. It’s a humbling and daunting task because so many young people and police officers have lost their lives needlessly, but it is the noble challenge that the All-America city has committed to.
