CHS honors 3 student-athletes for earning scholarships

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – On Wednesday, March 16, Cordova High School honored three student-athletes for receiving athletic scholarships.

Seniors Matt Jernigan, Diane Salinas and Kelissa Lee were the three honored by the Cordova Athletic Department. All three student-athletes have exceled both in the classroom and on the diamond.

Jernigan is a four-year varsity baseball player as both a pitcher and first baseman. He will be attending Western Oregon University in Monmouth, Oregon.

Salinas is a four-year varsity softball player as both a pitcher and first baseman. She will be attending Bay College in Escanaba, Michigan.

Lee is a four-year varsity softball player as both a center fielder and shortstop. She will be attending Holy Names University in Oakland, California.
