RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – The Rancho Cordova Area Chamber of Commerce hosted the 11th Business Expo and Job Fair on Thursday, June 23.

Sponsored by KP International Market, the annual event, which has come to be an invaluable asset in the region’s commerce, provided an exceptional “mix of businesses, non-profits, service organizations and exhibitors,” according to President and CEO Diann H. Rogers.

President Rogers stated that over 400 individuals attended this year’s expo with many seeking innovative ways to adapt, learn and improve their careers and enterprises. Cassandra Marcum, Operations Manager for the Chamber, said that with 75 registered vendors, the industries showcasing “ranged from banking to real estate, wellness, education, and beyond.”

Newly conceived for this year’s expo was a business mixer held the night prior and attended by over 50 guests for the purpose of networking.

“Exhibitors voiced their praise of having the opportunity to build connections with others, an opportunity that was not available in prior years,” Marcum said.

Participating in the newly featured business mixer were several food and drink services: Strad Meadery showcased their seasonal blackberry mead; The EstablishMint provided an array of sushi rolls; and items were served from Chick-Fil-A, Steve’s Pizza in Rancho Cordova, and Casa Ramos.

In addition to these opportunities, the job fair also came back for a second year. “Any business looking for individuals to hire had a specially marked booth so guests could easily identify them. It was clear to see that a majority of guests attend[ing] were looking for employment,” Marcum said.
