Make a Difference with Local Volunteer Opportunities

The holidays may be over, but it’s always a great time to look for new ways to give back to your #RanchoCordova community. Check out the following opportunities.

Give Back at the Winter Sanctuary

Rancho Cordova HART (Homeless Assistance Resource Team) is a volunteer-run organization seeking volunteers for its Rotating Winter Sanctuary. The program offers our unhoused neighbors a safe place to stay during the coldest nights of the year. Volunteers, ages 16 and older, are welcome, and shifts and hours will vary.

Become an Outreach Volunteer at the Sacramento Children’s Museum

Join the Sacramento Children’s Museum to provide children with a place where they can be inspired, challenged, and nurtured. Volunteers will attend events in Rancho Cordova and throughout the region. Dates and hours will vary.

Rancho Cordova Documentary Nominated for Emmy Award

Rancho Cordova: From the Gold Rush to the Space Race documents the city's history and will re-air on PBS KVIE January 24 – 28. Check your local listings or watch the Emmy-nominated film online.

Cordova High School Mentoring Team Recognized

Rancho Cordova Vice Mayor Siri Pulipati was present to congratulate the school's CREATE Mentoring Team, which won the program's Best Overall Award. The 10-week program pairs students with mentors from engineering, architecture, construction, and trade industries.
