RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Friends, families and teammates of Steven Michael Keys are invited on Saturday, June 29, to gather for a special, 40-year anniversary celebration of life at 5 p.m. at Mountain Mike’s Pizza, 2220 Gold Springs Court, Gold River, CA.

A 1973 graduate of Cordova High School, Steve passed away on June 15, 1984, but left a lasting legacy of friendship that spanned his many years in the greater Rancho Cordova and Sacramento area.

Steve loved playing competitive softball on Friday nights in Rancho Cordova, so we’ll be celebrating with stories, memories, and plenty of pizza. We’d love to hear your stories too.

Steve played for several years on various teams but blossomed into a star left fielder who helped lead Shakey’s Pizza/Rancho Cordova to six consecutive league titles and two tournament championships in 1982 and 1983. Steve began his softball career with the Mills Merchants in 1978 and quickly developed into one of the team’s best hitters.
