What’s New to Experience at The MACC

RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - For those who want to add some art to their summer, check out the MACC (Mills Station Arts & Culture Center) activities and events.

The venue, built in 1911 as a meeting place for farmers and a stopping place for travelers, is today a gathering place for residents and visitors. The MACC opened its doors in 2018 to exhibits by local artists, workshops, history displays, cultural demonstrations and more.

The MACC is a collaboration of the City of Rancho Cordova, Regional Transit, Sacramento County and the Cordova Community Council.

Workshop Opportunities

Join the MACC every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a Live Model Drawing. Bring your own materials and pay $10 online or at the door. Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your drawing skills and connect with other artists.

Upcoming Exhibits

“The Art of Printmaking” opened on July 10 and runs through July 26. Explore the art of printmaking and the various techniques used in the process, featuring artists from the Northen California and Northern Nevada area.

“Heart of A Champion” will run from Sept. 4 to Sept. 13. Celebrate 10 years of the Rancho Cordova Athletic Association’s Hall of Fame and the extraordinary athletes and athletic teams who have been inducted over the last decade.

The 2025 Sac Open Studios Tour runs from Sept. 19 to Sept. 21. Engage with Sacramento-area artists and explore their works, kicking off with a Friday night preview event featuring live Motown music, food trucks, and meet and greets.   

Gallery hours for exhibit dates only are 2 to 7 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
