SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (MPG) - The Sacramento Superior Court recently announced the appointment of Kelly Sullivan as interim court executive officer.
“Kelly Sullivan is a proven leader with a deep understanding of court operations and a strong commitment to public service,” said Sacramento Superior Court Presiding Judge Bunmi O. Awoniyi. “We are confident in her ability to guide the court during this transition with integrity, professionalism and focus.”
As Interim Court Executive Officer, Sullivan oversees the court’s operational and administrative functions, including budget and finance, human resources, strategic planning, and coordination with justice and community partners, while the court searches for a permanent court executive officer.
“I am honored to serve the Sacramento Superior Court in this interim capacity,” said Sullivan. “I look forward to working alongside the bench, staff and stakeholders to ensure the court continues to provide fair, accessible and effective justice for our community.”
Sullivan has served as the court’s chief deputy executive officer since September 2022.
Sullivan previously served as chief deputy director over the Civil and Criminal Division (October 2020 to September 2022) and as director of operations (October 2016 to September 2020). She has been with the court for more than 20 years.
Sullivan assumed the post when Court Executive Officer Lee Seale retired, effective Aug. 4
