RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - The Rancho Cordova Youth Center (RCYC) continues to provide free daily after-school programming that keeps local students safe, supported and engaged close to home. Each weekday, youth can enjoy free meals, homework help, enrichment activities and a welcoming environment where they can learn and connect with friends.
To make accessing the free youth programs even easier, the Rancho Cordova Youth Center has launched its first seasonal program guide. The new Fall/Winter 2025 guide is a one-stop resource for parents, guardians and youth to explore the wide variety of free programs offered at the center, including sports clinics, STEM learning, creative arts, leadership development and more. Updated each season, the guide makes it easy for families to discover opportunities that fit their child’s interests.
“This is an exciting milestone for the Rancho Cordova Youth Center,” said Rancho Cordova Mayor Siri Pulipati. “With this program guide published, our community can easily view the free RCYC programming the city offers and all in one place, making it simpler than ever for families to register.”
Located in the heart of Rancho Cordova, the Rancho Cordova Youth Center is owned by the city and operated in partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento and the Rancho Cordova Police Activities League, creating a hub for youth enrichment and connection.

Since opening its doors, the center has provided free programs for youth who live in Rancho Cordova or attend a school within city limits to learn new skills, make friends and stay active year-round.
To help more families access afterschool programs, the Rancho Cordova Youth Center offers free bus transportation during the academic year in partnership with the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. Service is available from seven elementary schools: Cordova Gardens, Peter J. Shields, Rancho Cordova, Cordova Meadows, Cordova Villa, White Rock and Williamson. Students are picked up from a safe, staffed location at their school approximately 15 minutes after the school day ends.
“I like to ride the bus because I get to sit with my friends. We talk about school and some of them come to the RCYC, too. At the RCYC, I love Power Hour because I can finish my homework,” said Gael, a Rancho Cordova Youth Center member.
The transportation program is free, aligned to the 2025–2026 academic school year, and began Aug. 7. Students are eligible for the free bus transportation program if they attend school at any of the seven participating elementary school sites. For details or to request transportation, contact the Rancho Cordova Youth Center at 916-866-4742 or [email protected]. Availability is limited and seats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
The new Fall/Winter 2025 Program Guide is available online at CityofRanchoCordova.org/RCYCProgramGuide, with registration open now for most activities. Families are encouraged to sign up early, as space in many programs is limited.
