RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - The Cordova Lady Lancers wrapped up their regular flag football season last week, the first under the guidance of head coach Kim Bradley.
Bradley, who also coaches girls’ basketball and softball at Cordova, took on the challenge of coaching flag football for the first time this season.
Although their regular season record was not ideal (3-21 overall, 1-9 Metro League play), the Lady Lancers drew a ton of positives from their experience this year, according to their coach.
"They were resilient," Bradley said. "As the season went on, we grew a lot. They began to understand the game a lot more and I think most importantly, they had fun in their development and growth."

Bradley's approach is always team-centric, as she looks to foster an atmosphere of family and togetherness. That approach revolves around cohesion and team chemistry rather than focusing on the wins and losses that come during a long season. In her first year at the helm of the program, she said that they have started to cultivate that as they look to next year.
"Everybody's bought in," Bradley said. "There was such a huge buy in that I'm already excited to see how we're going to do next year."
Standouts on the field this season included senior quarterback Taliyah Johnson, senior wide receiver Jasmine Farrell and junior wide receiver Tiah Kennedy.

Bradley will look to Kennedy, along with two who will be sophomores next season in quarterback Harlow Ahlstrom and wide receiver Erica Banks, amongst other youth as they continue the program’s growth next fall.
