SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - Folsom Cordova Unified School District is proud to announce that all 33 of its schools that applied have been recognized for their successful implementation of national standards for creating positive school climates.
Positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS) is a data-driven framework that helps schools promote positive student behavior, increase academic engagement, and reduce bullying and disciplinary issues. Schools that implement positive behavioral interventions and supports effectively often experience fewer major disciplinary incidents, stronger academic outcomes, and a more positive overall school climate.
The 2025 Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Statewide Recognition celebrates Folsom Cordova Unified School District’s commitment to Continuous Improvement and Creating Connectedness on our campuses. This achievement highlights the dedication of the district’s outstanding Climate Facilitators and their site teams, whose leadership and collaboration have been instrumental in building supportive school environments where students thrive.
As part of this honor, Folsom Cordova Unified School District and its recognized schools were featured on the California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports website and were highlighted at the 10th annual California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Conference in Sacramento from Oct. 8 to Oct. 10.
