RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – The 26th annual Cordova Community Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, Nov. 30 at Village Green Park drew hundreds of attendees and lived up to its reputation while ushering in the holiday season with a bang.

There was plenty of fun for all ages, including hayrides, live nativity, food trucks, Santa Claus, train rides and snow!

Although the weather was overcast and 47 degrees, it did not deter the community from attending and taking in all the excitement that ended in a spectacular fireworks display. The tree was lit by Rancho Cordovan of the Year, Kevin Sims, Cordova High music director.

Visit Rancho Cordova was among the organizations handing out candy and available services.

The 26th annual Cordova Community Christmas Tree Lighting is presented by the Cordova Community Council.

The 26th annual Cordova Community Christmas Tree Lighting event ended with a spectacular fireworks display as the tree was lit by Rancho Cordovan of the Year, Kevin Sims, Cordova High music director.
