RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - The Lincoln Village neighborhood came alive with holiday spirit on Thursday, Dec. 11, as residents gathered for the 11th annual Lincoln Village Community Christmas Parade.
More than 50 decorated vehicles participated in the festive procession, which wound through the streets of Lincoln Village, delighting families and neighbors with lights, music and colorful displays. The parade has become a cherished community tradition, known for its welcoming atmosphere and strong neighborhood involvement.
The event was sponsored in part by Measure H, Rancho Cordova’s Community Enhancement Grant, which supports local projects that bring residents together. Along the parade route, giveaway stations offered hot chocolate, cookies and goody bags filled with candy and small gifts, adding to the celebratory mood.

The parade was organized by the It Takes a Lincoln Village (ITLV) community group, with support from the City of Rancho Cordova, City Councilmember Joe Little and Sacramento County Supervisor Pat Hume.
“It was a fun night — so glad to be a part of it,” said Taylor Haven, an event specialist with the Cordova Community Council.
The Cordova Parks and Recreation Department also participated and praised the event in a statement, saying the district’s board members and staff “had a great time” at the annual parade and thanking ITLV and community members for their efforts and enthusiasm.

City officials, local organizations and residents were in attendance, lining up the streets to cheer on participants and celebrate the season together. Organizers said the strong turnout and community support reflected the spirit of Lincoln Village and the continued success of the annual holiday tradition.
