RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - When Tiny’s dad fell on hard times and lost his housing, he reached out for help to make sure Tiny stayed healthy and happy. Through the city’s Animal Services Assistance Program (ASAP), Tiny was able to see a veterinarian the very same day and left with a clean bill of health. ASAP is funded by a grant from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine.
But their story doesn’t end there. The dedicated staff at City Net, an organization who partners with the City of Rancho Cordova, were behind the scenes, working hard to secure pet-friendly housing for this dynamic duo — but to keep Tiny by his dad’s side, vaccines were needed, as soon as possible. Utilizing ASAP, Tiny’s dad reached out to Rancho Pet Hospital – who got him in the very next day.

Almost everything was ready for their big move into their new home, but not quite. Animal Services Officers gathered donated supplies to make sure Tiny and his dad were ready for their new chapter: a cozy bed, collar, leash, and toys.
They made it home just in time for the holidays and today, they’re safe and warm.
This story shows us what’s possible when a community comes together — City Net, Animal Services, Code Enforcement, our local veterinary clinics, and generous residents all made this story possible.
