RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – The Cordova Recreation & Park District (CRPD) celebrated community spirit and generosity at its annual Polar Bear Plunge on Jan. 10, drawing community members together for a morning of fun and fundraising.
The day began with a refreshing splash as brave participants took the plunge into the Cordova Community Pool. Community members joined in to raise funds benefiting the Cordova Recreation & Parks Foundation Scholarship Program, the Cordova Blue Marlins Swim Team Parent Board and the Cordova Cordettes Synchronized Swim Team Parent Board.
Following the plunge, attendees warmed up with a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Rancho Cordova and had the opportunity to win exciting prizes during the raffle.
The district extends its sincere appreciation to the plungers, sponsors, volunteers and community members whose support made the event a success. Their contributions help expand recreation opportunities throughout the community and make a meaningful impact.
