RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – Early in the week of Feb. 2‚ Assemblyman Josh Hoover had the opportunity to tour VSP's Eyes of Hope mobile clinic event in Rancho Cordova‚ hosted in partnership with the Rancho Cordova Food Locker and Cordova Neighborhood Church.
VSP Eyes of Hope mobile clinics travel across the country working with local charitable organizations and VSP network doctors to provide no-cost eye exams and glasses to individuals and families in need.
“During the visit‚ I was able to see firsthand how this program is making a meaningful difference by expanding access to basic vision care for members of our community. Events like this highlight the impact strong public-private partnerships can have at the local level. By bringing critical services directly to neighborhoods‚ organizations like VSP are helping ensure that cost and access are not barriers to care,” Hoover said. “I'm grateful to VSP Vision‚ the Rancho Cordova Food Locker and Cordova Neighborhood Church for their commitment to serving our community and for the important work they continue to do.”
Rancho Cordova Food Locker added on a social media post, “Thank you to Assemblyman Josh Hoover for featuring our VSP Vision Care Eyes of Hope™ partnership. We're grateful for leaders who recognize the importance of wraparound services in fighting hunger and feeding hope. Access to healthcare shouldn't be a barrier to opportunity.”
