RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) – On April 24, Rancho Cordova Mayor Garrett Gatewood delivered a powerful keynote to more than 200 eager students committed to growth and excellence, including nearly 50 from Cordova High School, at the Folsom Lake College Men of Color Summit.
Centered on “Excellence in Action,” his keynote challenged students to lead with confidence, stay disciplined and take ownership of their future.
“This room is full of potential. It’s full of talent. It’s full of future leaders, business owners, educators, mentors, and people who are going to shape what our communities look like in the years ahead,” said Mayor Gatewood. “Your habits are either building your future, or they’re breaking it. There’s no in-between.”
We’re proud to see our local students represented and inspired at events that uplift the next generation of leaders.
