RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Four projects in Rancho Cordova have been selected as honorees in the Sacramento Business Journal’s 2026 Best Real Estate Projects, recognizing developments ranging from community services to new investments in the city.

The Animal Barn at Soil Born Farms, Community Food Hub, Project Sunrise and Stone Creek Village were among the projects chosen for recognition.

The Animal Barn at Soil Born Farms recently celebrated its grand opening with an Aug. 1 ribbon-cutting ceremony. Located at 2140 Chase Drive, the addition expands the urban farm’s agricultural education and hands-on learning opportunities.

Soil Born Farms is open to visitors on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., offering farm-grown produce and other local goods. Visitors can also stop at Phoebe’s Tea & Snack Bar and the farm’s plant nursery.

The Community Food Hub at 2771 Don Juan Drive was also named an honoree. Formerly known as the Rancho Cordova Food Locker, the facility opened earlier this year and provides families with a grocery-style setting where they can select food at no cost.

The hub offers produce, dairy products, protein, pantry staples, children’s items and culturally familiar foods. The redesigned model is intended to give families greater choice while creating a more welcoming experience for those seeking food assistance.

Project Sunrise and Stone Creek Village were also included among this year’s honorees, highlighting additional development and investment taking place in Rancho Cordova.

The Sacramento Business Journal’s Best Real Estate Projects program recognizes notable developments throughout the Sacramento region. The four Rancho Cordova projects and other honorees are scheduled to receive recognition in September.
