RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Several roadway improvement projects are underway or nearing completion throughout Rancho Cordova, according to the city’s Public Works Department.

Construction has begun in the Stone Creek and South White Rock neighborhoods as part of a surface treatment project aimed at improving roadway conditions and extending the life of local streets.

The project includes pavement repairs and surface treatments, updated striping and bike lane markings, and additional roadway safety improvements.

Work is also nearing completion on the first phase of improvements along the east side of Mather Field Road, just north of the westbound U.S. Highway 50 off-ramp.

The Mather Field Road project includes widened sidewalks, new landscaping, an upgraded wall design and a pergola entry feature at Croydon Drive. The improvements are intended to enhance both the appearance and functionality of the area.

In the Countryside neighborhood, the second phase of a street rehabilitation project is also nearing completion. Work includes roadway resurfacing, drainage improvements and high-visibility pavement markings designed to improve driving conditions and extend pavement life.

Construction on the Countryside project began in spring 2026.
