RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Heartstoppers Haunts will return to the historic Mine Shaft property this October for its 19th season, bringing back four connected haunted attractions along with new scenes, entertainment and activities.

The attraction, at 2300 Mine Shaft Lane, will operate for 13 nights from Oct. 2 through Nov. 1. This year’s four haunts, Deadlands, House McCutchen, Blightwoods and Misery Mine, have each been rebuilt with new scenes and upgrades, according to organizers.

New for 2026 is “Redemption!,” a stage show scheduled at the top of every hour in the attraction’s Ghost Town area. Organizers say the show introduces the story connecting the four haunts. Ghost Town will also feature live music, fire dancers, roaming characters, carnival games, food, drinks and vendors.

Ghost Town opens at 7 p.m., with the haunted attractions opening at 7:30 p.m.

General admission is $39 and includes entry to all four haunted attractions, the hourly stage show and Ghost Town. A limited opening-weekend ticket is $29.99 for Oct. 2 and 3, while priority-access tickets are $55. Tickets must be purchased online in advance for a selected date and time. Parking is $5 when purchased online or $10 cash at the gate.

Heartstoppers began as a home haunt before becoming a professional attraction in 2007. Organizers say the event supports Theater Education 4 Theater Nerds, which provides free acting, stagecraft and live-performance education for high school and college students in the Sacramento Valley.

“Every season, every ticket, every scare goes back to funding free classes,” said Thater Education 4 Theater Nerds Executive Director, Joel Watson. “We built the haunt to build them.”

Visitors should expect loud noises, fog, air blasts, strobe or flickering lights and periods of darkness.
