In Placer County, roughly 12% of individuals experience food insecurity, with some rural areas seeing food insecurity rates as high as 18%. Each summer, the Placer County Association of REALTORS® (PCAR) sheds light on this issue facing too many in the community through their Annual Summer Food Drive. This year’s drive will benefit the hunger relief efforts of The Salt Mine and Auburn Interfaith Food Closet. Participants can contribute monetary and non-perishable items from June-August.
